We do not believe in outsourcing core functions and therefore benefit from having dedicated management in all operating areas. The use of new technologies such as satellite communication, Apple’s Snow Leopard suite and collaborative tools, and VOIP enable our team to work together as closely as if we are based in the same office, even if the office this week is in New York or our private island in south east Asia. This blend of permanent local staff and flexible, mobile management provides us with several advantages over traditional operations.

Each brand has dedicated management, and the shared resources of the Barefoot group, including an experienced board of advisors, and a council of investor-members for specific projects and ventures. In addition, the group has access to professional advisors or service providers with whom we work on specific projects; these include financial service groups such as HSBC and Ernst & Young, plus local independent financial advisers, property agents, investment professionals, environmental consultants and technical consultants.
