We do not believe in outsourcing core functions and therefore benefit from having dedicated management in all operating areas. The use of new technologies such as satellite communications, Microsoft’s Sharepoint and VOIP enable our team to work together as closely as if we were based in the same office, even if the office this week is in New York or our private island in south east Asia. This blend of permanent local staff and flexible, mobile management provides us with several advantages over traditional operations.

Each brand has dedicated management, and the shared resources of the Barefoot group, including an experienced board of advisers, and a council of members for specific projects and ventures. In addition, the group has access to professional advisers or service providers with whom we work on specific projects; these include financial service groups such as HSBC and Ernst & Young, plus local independent financial advisers, property agents, investment professionals, environmental engineers, and technical advisors.
